A friend of mine asked me to cosign his student loan (he doesn't have a good credit score). Though I am working legally (employment authorization) here and have a good credit score, I am not a permanent resident (green card). Is it possible to help my friend?Yes, but co-sign at your own RISK. Have you thought bad credit sometimes show you were not responsible? Speaking on your friend will friend care when it's time to pay the loan in your name.
